Spring 2009 CoE Graduation

Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2009 in the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering! On Friday, May 22, the college held its graduation ceremony in the SJSU Event Center. There were 1,081 graduates this semester, consisting of 385 undergraduates and 696 graduate students.

Jayan Ramankutty ('91 M.S. Computer Engineering) was the college's graduation speaker. Ramankutty is a successful entrepreneur and Founding CEO of YuMe Networks. He advised the students to keep five principles in mind as they proceed with their careers 1) It's all about the basics; 2) Choose your company by its character; 3) Aim high but live within your means; 4) Focus on the positive; and 5) Work hard, play hard.
