San Jose State University Race Team            

The Formula-Electric vehicle team wants to go fast while helping to save the environment.  This team understands that the environment is important when making design decisions.  This young competition is gaining momentum and surely will become quite big in the future.  The members of this vehicle team are often interested in “green” technology and understand the automotive industry is shifting that way.

Competition:

The Electric Team is part of the Formula Hybrid competition and is very similar to Formula SAE consisting of both static and dynamic events.  The static events are designed to test the team's knowledge of design, manufacturing and marketing of the vehicle.  Dynamic events test the machine, putting it through its paces to test performance and reliability.  The two facets of the competition push team members and their abilities beyond that of the average student.
